A new standalone novel from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

The last time I saw my best friend’s younger brother, he was a geek wearing braces. But when Cannon shows up to crash in my spare room, I get a swift reality check.

Now twenty-four, he’s broad shouldered and masculine, and so sinfully sexy, I want to climb him like the jungle gyms we used to enjoy. At six-foot-something with lean muscles hiding under his T-shirt, a deep sexy voice, and full lips that pull into a smirk when he studies me, he’s pure temptation.

Fresh out of a messy breakup, he doesn’t want any entanglements. But I can resist, right?

I’m holding strong until the third night of our new arrangement when we get drunk and he confesses his biggest secret of all: he’s cursed when it comes to sex. Apparently he’s a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him.

I’m calling bullshit. In fact, I’m going to prove him wrong, and if I rack up a few much-needed orgasms in the process, all the better.

There’s no way I’m going to fall in love with Cannon. But once we start…I realize betting against him may have been the biggest mistake of my life.

“The heart was a strange and amazing muscle.”

I’ve had a couple of Kendall Ryan’s books on my TBR, but I haven’t gotten around to reading them yet. When I came across The Room Mate I just knew I had to read it ASAP and boy am I glad I did!

Cannon is cursed. Women seem to fall madly (and seriously bat-shit crazy) in love with him after sex. After his last girlfriend trashes his place, Cannon is couch surfing until his sister Allie, and Paige’ best  friend arranges for him to stay at her place for 2 months. Harmless, right? NOPE!

“With a swallowed grunt of pleasure, I pumped faster, racing toward my release. A noise of surprise caught my attention, and I opened my eyes to see Paige standing in my doorway.

The Room Mate was a entertaining and highly enjoyable read! I ended up reading it in one sitting  because I just couldn’t put it down! I constantly wanted to know what hilarious thing would happen next between Paige and Cannon. One of the best things about The Room Mate was the dual POV from Paige and Cannon, which gave readers the opportunity to know what was going through each characters mind. I don’t think this would have been as nearly as entertaining if it was all from Paige’s POV. These characters were so easy to like, Cannon really cares about others and is working hard in his residency as a Doctor to make sure he can give back and support his mom. He’s seriously such a sweetheart! Paige is a strong independent woman who is a HR Manager.

“No, just eight inches long. I also have wicked stain…and an advanced understanding of female anatomy.”
My insides clenched violently. Fuck.

Now it was his turn to smirk. “You having a problem there?”

The Room Mate had me in stitches, there were so many moments like this that I just couldn’t stop laughing at! Kendall Ryan has a great way of creating humour out of some embarrassing and sticky situations. The pace was great, while the attraction was intense the build up to their relationship was spaced out.

Would I recommend The Room Mate? HECK YES! If you want a light, fun, and entertaining read I highly suggest picking The Room Mate up!
